happy 44th birthday, singapore!!! since it was a special day, we went to celebrate at marina bay. we had 2 tickets to the NDP.... yeah!!! this was my first time to the NDP so before the actual day.... i actually went to the internet to find out more about the NDP! so EXCITED!!!!
when we arrived near the entrance, i saw lots of policemen carrying guns and there were huge army tanks parking along the roads! so i asked mummy... "they are not going to shoot us when we get in right?". mummy said i was talking nonsense. i was just curious...
after going through all the security checks, we collected our goodie bags. both of us got our favourite colours, i got orange and mummy got blue! by the way, i thought the goodie bags would be something like those which i usually receive on my friends' birthdays. hee hee hee..... the goodie bags looked great and contained lots of interesting items. most importantly, there were healthy food like soya bean milk... biscuits... and more.
after squeezing through the crowd.... perspiring like mad climbing up the steps..... we finally got seated at the orange area - my favourite colour again!! ok.... there were 10 chapters for the NDP but i am not going to tell all the chapters in details. there were marching which i was not really interested in.... those airplanes with no stunts were not very captivating..... all the standing ups and singing-alongs were tiring.... the performances and dances were just alright.... the fireworks were the BEST OF ALL!
