This post is a bit too late. But I will still tell you about the Prefects' Camp I went to on Monday...
I went to school on Monday even though it is school holiday. I attended the prefects’ camp because I am a prefect in school.
When I am in the car, I kept thinking how the camp will be. A few minutes later, I reached the school. I saw my friends waiting at the gate for me.
About 3 minutes later, the camp started. We assembled at the hall. I am in group 1 while my good friends are in other groups. So sad I have no friends to play with. But I have a very funny instructor, her name is Mabel. She is from Serangoon Junior College.
And now the most exciting time, 3-2-1, the camp started! One of the actives we did is the river crossing. It was our favourite game. It tells us how to co-operate together. And the second game we played was netball. I was the center and the rest of my friends are the goalkeeper, goal-shooter, wing-attack, wing-defence and goal-attack. The score was 0-0. The second game was a discussion on who is good at blocking and who is good at shooting and so on. We played again and I was still the center. The game ended with the score at 1-1. This game taught us what teamwork and the importance of discussion.
Ohs! It is time for a break! Finally we can rest! We ate bee hoon during our break. The bee hoon was quite nice and I liked it.
After our break, we played the “caterpillar balloon” game. We had to chant “left right left right” together so that we would not burst the balloon or drop the balloon.
After the “caterpillar” game, we played another game called “minesweeper”. We were not supposed to communicate with each other, only those who were bombed earlier can tell you where to go. This game taught us to trust each other.
The clock struck 12.30pm and it was time for our lunch. But this time I did not like my food because the rice was covered with lots of curry! I ate the rice and chicken but it is not chicken rice. Haha..
After our lunch, we went to 1A classroom to do group work. While waiting for Mabel to print the pictures we played musical chairs. Whoever lost will have to do the chicken dance. We all don’t dare to do the chicken dance because we were too shy to dance. Finally, Mabel came back and ask us what did we do we said we played musical chairs. She said she wanted to play too. We said who lose must do the chicken dance. She said she will do it if she lost. The game started.
Nanananananananaanannana. Oh… someone did not get a chair to sit. Guess who? Mabel!!!
Our funny instructor. Let’s welcome her to do the chicken dance! Chirp chirp chirp…..
We continued to do our group work after Mabel danced for us. We pasted pictures on a majong paper. We decorated with lots of markers. Oh my god! It is break time again! This time we had donuts.
We went back to our group work after the tea break. When we were done we gave our work to our teacher, Mr D____.
The camp came to an end and it was time to give out the certificates. Everybody received one. And it was 5.15 and time to go home.
I thought the camp ould be boring but it turned out to be an enjoyable! And it was all because of the funny instructor, Mabel!
I wish there is another prefects’ camp and I am sure I will attend it.

This is what I do in school…
PE is one of my favourite subject. I like excising. What kind of sports or games do I like? Of course is track and field! I also like Floorball too. It is Ruyi’s favourite too. Too bad…. My school don’t take part in Floorball competition. We only train and play for fun.
It is recess time! Hmm… I am hungry. Haha… sometimes I will eat porridge or rice. I only have 30 minutes to finish my food. Sometimes if there is still time I will go to the library. I prefer non-fiction books to fiction book because it tells you more about the world and the things happening around us.
I also enjoy Science lessons. I like Science because it tells you more about the world. I learn about living things and non- living things and plants. Plants are very interesting. Let me ask you a question. How does a flower reproduce? The answer is; the bee will carry the pollen to another flower. A few days later…. Tada! There is a flower! So don’t ever kill the bees if we do so there won’t be anymore flowers. And another thing about plants is the shape of their leaves. Some leave patterns could be Entire edge, Toothed edge or even Lobed edge.
Maths is my favourite subject. I am weak at division but mummy encourages me to try harder. When Miss Lee is teaching division I will focus. I will try to do my best.
I like school because I like to learn about new things.

My form teacher name is Miss Lee. She teaches my class English, Maths,Science,PE and health education. She is a friendly, smart and kind teacher.
During English lesson, she will give us instructions and then we go back to our seats to do our homework. If we have a composition to do she will go through with us on what to write. She will describe the pictures using adjectives and ad-verbs so as to make the compo more intesting. My writing will be better and interesting if I continue to pay attention in class and learn from her.
I like my teacher and I enjoy going to school.

Hi everyone nice to see you again! What I am going to say is I am a prefect in school! My teacher Miss Lee has chosen me to be a prefect. (I will tell you more about my teacher next time).
Every morning I will reach school at 6.55 am to look after the primary ones and twos. If they forgotten to bring their story book. I will tell them to stand up and read their textbook. I don’t just look after the primary ones and twos , I also help to take care of the upper primary. If I see then running, I will write down their name and tell Mr H_____. For your information: he is fiercest teacher in Peiying Primary School. And I am having a camp in school. It is during the holidays on the 10th of March. Initially, mommy didn’t allow me to go but I force her to let me go. Yeppy! The camp is from 7.00am to 5.15pm and only prefects can go. I can’t wait to start my camp.
Prefects’ duty seems very difficult but it is actually easy for me! And most of all I wish to be the head prefect! I want to be a prefect so that I can take care of the students in the school.
